Some Questions to Ask...
Live entertainment for your party or event is exciting
but how do you know you are booking the right band for the
occasion.
Here are some questions you could ask a
prospective band to ensure you choose the most appropriate
one for your function....
How long does it
take you to set up or break down your equipment?
This can vary greatly and is crucial if you only have
your room booked for a certain period of time. At some
venues, bands can only set up once you and your guests have
finished dining. If it’s a big set up, it could reduce the
amount of partying time you have.
How many
members do you have and how much space do you need for your
band, group or orchestra?
If you book a room with a small stage and the band can’t fit on it, they will end up encroaching on the dance floor or seating space.
Are you familiar with my venue?
If a musician has played at the venue before they will be aware of the space available and whether their equipment will suit the room’s acoustics.
What genres or periods of music do you cover?
It is important that the music played suits the majority of your guests. Many bands can provide you with a list of their repertoire.
If there is a special song, such as for a first dance, many bands are willing to learn and perform it especially for you.
